Emergency Treatment of PFAS Contaminated Flood Water
City Water Technology was engaged by Veolia Environmental Services to provide specialist process, project management and operations support for an emergency PFAS water treatment plant in Sydney.
Building on CWTs past experience and expertise with Crescent Head WTP, CWT was engaged by Eire Construction to provide process support for the design and construct for Crescent Head WTP.
The existing WTP (1987) is supplied via the Crescent Head Water Supply Scheme. This scheme consists of three production bores with a basic treatment system.

The existing water treatment plant has increasingly been susceptible to equipment failure and deemed approaching “end of life”. As a relatively simple treatment process with only chemical dosing processes Council are replacing this WTP to provide safe, reliable and compliant drinking water for the community of Crescent Head into the future.
Construct a new water treatment plant on the existing site with a production capacity of 1.08 ML/ 22 hours. This includes pretreatment of bore water, clarification, filtration, disinfection and final water storage.
