Mathew is an experienced engineer with a diverse background in water treatment. His strengths are in his detailed technical knowledge and the application of first principles to projects, particularly in relation to hydraulics and process unit design.

Mathew has worked on a variety of projects and has significant experience in concept designs and technical specifications for both new water treatment plants and upgraded water treatment plants and supporting processes. He also has extensive capabilities in process design and is very knowledgeable with regards to HAZOP studies, mass and energy balances, hydraulic calculations and profiles, pump and equipment sizing and selection (such as tanks and pipework) and the preparation and review of piping and instrumentation diagrams.

In addition to his engineering experience through CWT, Mathew has extensive hands on operational experience that he gained from a previous role working as a production engineer and plant operator in pulp and paper manufacturing. He has further developed these skills through undertaking various sludge and drinking water treatment plant commissioning projects, including recently as part of the recommissioning team for the Sydney Desalination Plant.
